When a great and terrible flood threatened to drown the world, a fearless otter leapt into the powerful waters and saved the land by carrying it on her skyward belly. In honor of this Tale of Creation, designer Wanesia Misquadace has crafted a work of art in the form of a cuff bracelet. Surrounding the otter are faceted gems of blue topaz, peridot, white topaz, iolite, and citrine, while the turtle's shell is crafted from a round cabochon of green variscite. The gallery of images around the stones is composed of an openwork design of highly polished sterling silver. The cuff has a 5-1/2" inside circumference and measures 1-3/8" tall. Made in the USA.

According to Ojibwa legend, when the Sky spirit fell to the earth all of the animals of the lake worked together to create a soft landing. In this bracelet, a brave otter has caught the spirit on her belly, saving the earth. The variscite is set into the body of a turtle, which also represents long life and perserverance. The beautiful flowers and moss of the lake surround the otter and turtle in the rest of this beautiful bracelet.

Like all fine jewelry, Carolyn Pollack jewelry should be handled carefully. Store jewelry in a plastic bag, dry and wrapped in tissue paper, when not being worn or displayed. Clean sterling silver with a silver polishing cloth when necessary, but never subject to chlorine, silver dips, chemical solutions or ultrasonic cleaners, as these substances can cause the gemstones to discolor. Never wear jewelry in a swimming pool.
